Interlude XV - Titans III

Deep beneath the collapsed Rocket Casino, MG feels a psychic pull that she initially attributes to Lizzy. Following the sensation, she and Glen plunge into the secret lower levels and stumble across a Renegade executing civilians. In the ensuing battle, Glen is severely wounded, and MG is nearly killed before her mysterious new Vulpix incinerates the attacker. Lizzy arrives shortly after, revealing she was also drawn there by an unknown psychic guide. MG realizes the presence saving them is someone entirely new. In Hoenn, Groudon easily defeats Kyogre, causing it to sink. As Steven Stone prepares for a final, desperate stand, Rayquaza descends from the sky, lifts Groudon into the air, and drops it into the ocean, ending the cataclysm. Steven notices that his Aggronite and Metagrossite rings are reacting to the shattered Red Orb, triggering the first observed instances of Mega Evolution in his Aggron and Metagross. Back at Cinnabar, Mewtwo speaks with Dr. Light about its seemingly imminent death and regrets over a life unlived. When news arrives that the earthquakes have ceased and the lab can be saved, Mewtwo notes it was being too pessimistic. Without warning, Mewtwo wraps its tail around Dr. Light and launches them both off the cliff. Security chief Shaw instantly activates the suit's kill-switch and dives after them on his Flying pokemon, signaling his team to pursue the fleeing god.
