Interlude XI - Pyre

Vermilion's Third, Sabra, arrives at the burning hospital after the earthquake. She finds Red sitting alone in the rain amongst the medical gear, completely catatonic with shock. He tells her Jack and Aiko went inside, and confirms with his psychic sense that they died when the upper floors collapsed. Sabra feels the crushing loss of her friend Jack, but forces herself to compartmentalize her grief and take command of the situation. She hugs Red until he thaws from his shock, comforting him before they leave the blazing pyre behind on her manectric.
